Among the staff at BIONIC Chiropractic we have 10 children and 3 grandchildren. Alaska has been the place we call home for 128 years. We’ve competed in the Mount Marathon race a total of 19 times. On our days off we enjoy being outdoors and taking in all that our beautiful state has to offer; whether it’s hiking, hunting, camping, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, you name it we love it all. Our office always appreciates the time we get to spend with our family and friends. On a more relaxed day you might find us listening to music or reading a book and in any event food is always included.
Dr. Hawkins attended and graduated from WSU with his AS and BS degrees. He spent six months studying in Jerusalem, Israel just prior to “Desert Storm”. His practice is focused on health of the individual families in the community including those involved in sports and music.
Julie and Joseph are the parents of five children and have started to develop a peony farm just outside of Palmer. They have named the farm “Q40” that is, a Quonset hut sitting on 40 acres and are members of the Alaska Peony Cooperative.
Julie enjoys pickle ball and tennis when the weather permits and is busy with taking care of the flowers and kids. Dr Hawkins enjoys snowboarding, skiing, and chugs along in some of the annual mountain races in the area such as “Mount Marathon” of which he is a veteran of several years. 2018 marked the very last year he will ever do a cartwheel at the top or at the finish line at Mount Marathon. He has served on the Mountain Bikers & Hikers Board of directors and currently serves the community as a director of Matanuska Susitna Federal Credit Union.
